Great tools for WM, highly recommended to anyone with a Pocket PC.

Brilliant utility, I've been waiting for a real file explorer and now it is finally available. I like the ability to personalize the views and the user friendly interface. It also looks very nice. A must have, highly recommended!

The 2.17 version works almost fine, on WM 5 device it makes confusion between SD card and CF card, if they are the same capacity, 1 GB, for example. If one wish to defragment CF card, the code is defragmenting the SD card, and similar thing will happen with the SD card. So, be careful when you use this function with this version and the previous two that I tested... Under WM 2003 it works fine!

Hello dear users of a PDA. At last a utility that does what it should do. Namely defragment the memory card in your device. Since i do instal sometimes software and it, my sd card became very defragmented and therefore always slower and sometimes even gave me errors. Now with this piece of software, i was able to not only defragment my sd card, but also could clean my registry and double files on it, meaning a fast and good sd card. Giving me the pleasure of working with it. The use is very simple, and straight forward, but what amazed me the most is how fast it works. Realy a good investment that will prove to be like a swiss army knife when it comes to a full checkup. Small, speedy, and easy to use. Defenite a good buy, worth every penny (or eurocent).

When they built this program, they sure laid down quite a nice amount of job on making it look, and feel good, but how about functionality? You should only really use this program on that particular card that you've put that particular software on, which you're probably never going to use to anything else, and what is the use of defragging flash memory? It actually shortens the life span of it! All the other tools seem pretty useful as it helps you to find the biggest files that are cluttering up your PDA and those nasty invalid shortcuts! I recommend this program, though I think that it should include some form of SCANDISK instead of the defrag.

Definitiv tötlich für die Daten. Führt Scan Disk aus und eure Daten stehen im Nirvana. Besser als jedes zerstörerische Virus. Datensicherung NICHT VERGESSEN!! Bei mir kam diese Info zu Spät. Developer regularly upgrades software and I have used it for several months on Dell X50. Performs complex cleaning actions (e.g., unneeded registry entries) reliably, provides card benchmarking, and adds various levels of card formatting (Win2003 does not format SD or CF cards). On-screen explanations for actions are clear; developer is immediately responsive to support questions. I would now NOT be without this software on my PocketPC.

Have used since v.1.49. Valuable -necessary- software to avoid problems and keep PPC running well. Very complex maintenance actions (e.g., registry cleaning) are well-explained and can be executed safely, even for a less-knowledgeable user such as myself. And software is worth the price just for Card Benchmarking, that lets you compare any installed card's performance to a large index of cards. This is must-have software for me. Oh yes, and developer is extremely responsive and regularly issues improved versions (free to registered users). Very pleased with software and support!

I just downloaded the trial version of Pocket Mechanic, and tried it out. This product significantly improved the performance of my Dell Axim X5. I went back to Poacketgear.com and purchased it immediately. Thank you for a great app! For what it does, well worth the money.The only suggestion / request I have is concerning the description frame at the bottom of the screen. I would like to see an option to have that screen either adjustable or have the ability not come up unless requested?

Installed it on the brand new Orange M1000 and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Good interfaces and the level of detail in the dignostics reporting is quite incredible.Cleans up the registry a treat.Wish for the next version - Hidden file, and spyware cookie detection and deletion. Please update the hardware and SD card database to include the M1000 and bigger Lexar cards.Overall, well recommended.

I used the format facility to optimise the SD card I store my Tomtom3 maps on, and searching and route finding was noticeably quicker. Many other features make this a very useful program!

Great tool and worth the money. After facing minor problems with the recognition of my ScanDisk SD Card, Anton was giving major support to fix this bug which was solved in Ver1.12. The tool is doing exactly what the Author mentioned. Now everything works great and even the support is worth the money.

Being using Anton's programs since PHM came out. Only thing I can say is best support I have seen, the program does what it's suppose to and more. The only utility that actually did fix my corrupted cf card.
