传真·便函和电子邮件的格式相似，开头不必写地址还有Dear sir/Madam/Mr Smith,结尾也不必用特定的套语，直接签名就可以了。
但是商业信函和email就比较正式。一般是右上角写上你的地址，写信要不知其名时可用：Dear Sir, Dear Madam, Dear Sirs,Dear Sir/Madam (上述几种经常用于英国英语)；
要称呼其名时，用头衔或姓：Dear Dr Smith (BrE), Dear Dr. Smith (AmE), 差别很细微就一个点，注意你的客户是英国的还是美国的。
结束语，美国人一般用：Sincerely, Sincerely Yours, Yours Truly, 在英国英语中，如果前面称呼其名，结尾就用 Yours sincerely.如果是Dear Sir /Madam开头,结尾就用Yours faithfully.
你的地址可以写在右上角，日期写在左右均可。
